No! You are not short at all. If you have stopped growing (I did at 16) then you are perfect. Always remember to keep your back straight and have good posture and you will look a bit taller.

5"3 is a good height for 16.

I'm a bit less than 5'5" .. and I'm a 19 yr old guy.
I was upset when I was 18
But now, come to realise, it's not how short you are, it's how rich you are and what car you drives, really (I'm not even rich yet, still have no car :( )
If you're rich, you can do about anythin, even gaining a good 5cm in heights, but the surgery is painful tho
So.. my point is, be happy with what you have
Who knows, you might have a million dollars mansion, driving Bugatti Veyron and party everyday !

well are you a female or male?
either way you are just 16 and not done growing just yet
I'm female and I'm only 5' 1" i have always felt short but ya know its OK, alot of guys like petite girls
I'm 30 rs old and my son now is 4, he is small for his age, though not the smallest in his class
it would bother me more than my husband if our son ends up being a shorter man
but, in the long run it isn't all that important
and as for sports, there alot of them out there that don't require height to participate in

I am 5' 3.5 " and I don't think I am short. I am only 1/2" taller
than you, but I am 37 and I won't grown any taller. I am happy
with who I am. Just be happy that's all that counts.

and im 118 so i just got
good genetics but ur average
and thats totally cool
being tall can make u stand out
and get bad attention

Yes you are fairly short but what is wrong with that, I'm 5'1", I have tall friends who say they wish they were petite like me. I am 30+ and it has never ever bothered me ! I think men like small girls, they feel protective towards them,, not that we need protecting !!

I am the same..im almost 16 and im 5'3..NOOO ur not short ! u have a few more years till ya stop growing :)
