I'm thinking of getting a grey suit - is this a good idea? And also what colour shoes would go with it? THANKS!

Grey, Black, or White.
Depending on what color shirt you are wearing with the suit.
If you are dressing down a little with it with a white shirt, white semi casual shoes are great.
Dressing it up....a grey slightly darker than suit color or basic black is better.
The black shoes can be used over and over again.....grey isn't necessarily a primary color of shoes to have in your closet unless you are as shoe hog, like i am...and everyone needs a pair of white semi-casual shoes....for summer, of course...men and women.

Dusky pink would be a nice match, or maybe navy blue, black is ok but can look a bit dull

Yes, it is a good idea, i think every man or young man should own a suit. I prefer black dress shoes(men's of course).And you are very much welcome.
