In warm weather I would wear a nice conservative dress, not too short, and a nice pair of heels.
I would only wear slacks to a wedding in colder weather.

it depends how you are involved in the wedding. (bridesmaid, flower girl, ...) but if your just going as a guest. a dress that isnt the same color as the bride's dress. be sure its not too casual
