I have a pair of platform tennis shoes and when I walk they make a loud whoosh sound. It's not a thunk or a squeek, they whoosh. I've worn many kinds of sneakers before and it's not usual for them to make that sound. What causes them to do that?

Probably because inside of the platform is hallow and there is a small hole that lets air out of it every time you step on it, that is what many of my shoes do at least. It's nothing bad, hope this helps.

I'm a big tennis player and I always get K-Swiss. They're a trustworthy big name brand. I feel like a lot of tennis shoes are really stiff and hard but these and really, really comfortable. I get them at Sports Authority.

Does it have any air pockets? If it does, you probably popped the air pocket and thats why your shoes makes that sound.
