Everytime I wear my hair down it ends up getting really puffy. Is there any products that I can use to keep it from getting puffy when I go out?

I was born with thick, wavy hair, and it gets very dry and frizzy. I have tried using Dove Mousturizing Shapmoo and Conditioner but that had no effect on my hair. I also straighten my hair almost every second time i shower. I don't shower every day because i heard that it can damage your hair. I usually wash my hair every second or third day.

i used a shampoo for about a month that completely ruined my hair, now everytime i wash it as its drying it gets all these frizzy flyaways! does anyone know of a shampoo and conditioner that can help my hair get healthy again? i was thinking redken all soft but im not sure. any suggestions?

I flat iron it everyday before school because it pretty wavy, but I wouldn't say curly. The reason I flat iron it everyday is because it is really frizzy if I dont, and if i do then it is really shiny and looks really good. If I go out in public then I will have to flat iron my hair to make it look nice. My mom yells at me every morning because I am usually late and she thinks I'm phsycotic or I have OCD or something. I don't flat iron it if I am going to be home all day. Do you think this is a serious problem?? And by the way if you say my mom is just trying to help and that I should stop, then I won't listen because I know she doesn't want me to damage my hair, but i feel so self-conscious and I will feel down for most of the day because people will ask me what is wrong with my hair if I don't flat iron it. So please tell me, do I have issues??? My mom says I do!

Is there an age limit when a woman can't wear knee high socks with a pleated skirt? I mean outside of the context of halloween and the privacy of a home. It's a great look for clubbing, I just wonder at what point would it go from acceptably sassy and attractive, to slutty and despirate.
