What does size really matter if you look good. There's no way to know what you real size is because size varies according to designer. Different designers use different measurements for their clothes. I sew clothes and the measurements are very different for patterns, although pattern sizes are more standardized than off the rack clothes sizes.

Anyway, there's no way to avoid it, you're size will be differenet for different brands. Sorry I can't give you a way to find you true size.

Unfortunately there isnt. Sizing standards in the fashion/clothing industry has been a long debate, with many brands trying reeeallly hard to make women feel thinner by calling a size 10 a size 6, and so on.

You should start by sizing yourself the old fashioned way, with a measuring tape. Take the waist around the widest part and measure with a finger under the tape for comfort. Then take the inseam by measuring from the crotch to the ground. That's ur real size!

From there, ask store personnel about different sizing fits by brand. chances are, they know how the game works for different brands.

No, vanity sizing has taken over the fashion industry. Every brand has different sizes, there's no defining measurements for each size anymore. I'm sorta tall and skinny too and it's really annoying. Just keep trying on brands till you find some that fits. You can always have them tailored to fit I guess.

with the inconsistent sizing from the fashion world, it is best to just fit your body with whatever size it may be. Sizing is just a number. The fit is far more important.

These measurements are pretty true to their size:

Size 8: 35.5-27.5-37.5
Size 10: 37-29-39
Size 12: 38.5-30.5-40.5
Size 14: 40-32-42
Size 16: 41.5-33.5-43.5
