I have a semi-formal wedding and an elegant evenng out at the ballet coming up. For both, I have found really nice dresses that are short (knee length or just below). I want to wear strappy high-heeled sandals with both, and I feel uncomfortable going without stockings. Is it OK to wear nylons (not sure if I will wear pantyhose or stockings and a garter belt) with dressy heeled sandals like this? I really don't want to wear closed-toe pumps either. Some of my friends say I shouldn't wear nylons w/sandals, other say go for it. What do you think?

Ok it sounds odd but I really need some help here. I`m doing an article on hair re-growth, which will prove that shaved hair grows back exactly as it was before. Focus area is the arms on a female.
I could use some help from some one who shaves arms already or who is willing to. Can someone help?

I keep buying and wearing the same type of things (usually jeans and a tee shirt of some kind). I want to update my style a little, but I don't want to go overboard.

I've seen questions here with people asking about brunette hair & brown eyes. I saw 2 different questions about brown eyes seeming to be unliked. Being brown-eyed, I can relate, but after seeing the questions (& some on brunette hair) it made me want to ask if people know if blonde hair & blue eyes are appreciated because of "rarity," or not appreciated but preferred due to cultural preference. Though only whites have blue eyes (with exceptional cases in non-whites), if you look around blue is actually more common than brown for eye color in whites. Blue is overall pretty common. Along with that, green, & especially violet, are way less common than blue. Why aren't green & violet the appreciated colors? It seems the only appreciation is to blue, with some towards green. Blue seems to be glorified over appreciated. Same with blonde hair. If appreciation is the case, why do blondes get the attention, not redheads? Is blonde and/or blue-eyed appreciated, or prefered? What do you think?

During my pregnancy (6 years ago) my breast were distroyed with streatch marks. Everyone said to give them time and they would fade, but they are still really bad. Is there anything I can do to help now or is it too late? Even if I can not completely get rid of them, reducing them would help me feel better about my body!

I'm going because I think poorly of myself. I'm just not sure it's working. I'll have times when I compare myself to others. I'll think I'm fat or ugly or something. Sometimes it even bothers me just because I know I'll never have their self confidence. As much as I do love hearing people say I'm pretty or skinny... HEARING IT DOESN'T HELP! I WANT TO BELIEVE IT! I wanna believe in myself. I don't need people to do it for me. I'm just not sure my social worker is helping...

I actually have had a really hard time finding someone to do my hair. I read on here some others are having the same issues. It seems that many Black Hair Care Providers can be very rude, nasty, and MOODY. They don't show up for appts. They want to do more than one person's head at the same time. The don't manage time well. Some act jealous when your hair gets or is LONG and they will want to CUT the hair saying its damaged. Whereas I've been in salon's where my partner goes to get his hair colored (WHITE Clients/Staff) They offer you Coffee, Lates, Cappucinos, Bottled Water shampoo/conditioner samples in small gift bags. Their salons are very, very clean they sell good products that help the hair grow. They are very timely and you don't have to wait forever or all day even for EXTENSIONS.
If you are not apart of the BLACK click they mess up your hair. I
found a good link to find good stylist here;
