I'm a bikini wax virgin and thinking about having it done, but I have no idea what to expect. Is there anyone here who can give me an idiots guide to an appointment! Starting from stepping foot in the salon! Do the salon workers judge their customers ie think it's ok for skinny people to go and not large? Are there different options? Is it best to go natural for the first time and let them sort it out or do abit of home care first? What's best to wear to an appointment? I'll be grateful for anyones input, please no stupid answers though!

How much should you tip when you get your hair cut and colored?

I am going to the salon, its a nice salon, and I got my hair cut there once and tipped $10.00. is that enough or should i be tipping more?

know anything about stright hair tips.........help!!!!!!!!!???????

my hair is wavy and I hate it, I dont want to get a stright hair perm because it makes your hair soooooooooooooo dry!!!!! And I never have time to strighten it w/ a strightner, any ideas or tips to help??????

Why do American girls wear flip-flops even to their graduation?

Okay, first point: I have nothing against flip-flops. In fact, I wear them a lot.

But can't people see that something as formal and important as a graduation is NOT a proper occasion to wear them?

I can guess that some girls are going to say: "They're comfortable, and high heels hurt our feet."

Now, come on, flip-flops and high heels are not your ONLY two choices. How about the so-called "Mary Janes"? Or, if those are too frumpy for your taste, how about kitten heels and low-heeled pumps?

I live in Taiwan, and though girls here (including myself) wear flip-flops ALL the time, we'd definitely NOT wear them to a graduation. So really... I don't know what American girls are thinking :p
