Well i used to sell hair products for a company called Gulf South Salon Services-phone number: 601-684-5345-call them and they can give you the toll free number-well you should call them and ask for KMS prods, which are great-if you want to try and get a perm and are afraid of the dryness, then you should ask them for a product called Curl Up which help to keep your hair moisture and also helps to support the curls. In that line also be sure and ask about bounce back spray and the curling balm-these will definetly help you love your hair-be sure and tell them Shaye referred you.

what i do is after washing it and conditioning it very well, put some straightening creme in it (lots of brands do their own ranges of these- you can find them all in boots) and comb it through. if you have time, dry it with a concentrator nozzle. if you don't have time, put your hair in a ponytail and band the ponytail in short sections, it won't be dead straight, but it will be straighter.
try to get a good quality hair straightener- i use futura ones with extra large plates so i can do my hair very fast. use with protection spritz if you're worried about dryness.
for a more permanent solution, it may help to ask your hairdresser to 'thin out' your hair- not as scary as it sounds and will make your hair more manageable.
there is one final thing that may work- boots have apparantly created something that will keep hair straight for up to 3 months at a time- hitting the shelves in september, about £15

You are smart for not choosing the permanent straightening solution because this really dries and damages hair. That said, here is my suggestion: Use Matrix Sleek Look shampoo and conditioner. Use Kiehl's straightening/heat protecting lotion when your hair is wet and then brow dry your hair to the point that it is completely dry. Then use a ceramic straightening iron, like Chi, to iron it. This procedure will minimize the duration of the process. Your hair will look glossy and beautiful.

Hey, I just ordered a Sedu straightener. That should do the job in less than 15 min. We'll see. I keep everyone updated lol. There's really no other way than this. Or blow drying.. Takes even longer. Sucks.

I use a simple tool called Wet2straight. Manufactured by Remington. This tool is a straightener, but as you straighten, it dries your hair. You should be able to buy this tool at K-mart or Wal-Mart or one of those stores with variety. I use this tool, and I get my hair done very quickly! It doesn't cost a boatload of money either! Good Luck, and I hoped this helped!

I saw a new styling tool the other day that straightens as you blow-dry. It was on e-bay.
