how fast does hair grow and how can i make it grow faster?

i have short that's been recently cut, that is a great style, but i want to grow it out, and i want to know how long it'll take.

i have fine hair, but it's very thick. i have lots of hair, it kinda gets annoying when it ins't straightened. it has no dyes or crap in it, and it is pretty much very healthy.

how much does it grow per month, and what makes it grow faster?

Is it normal for hair to fall out when you run your hand through it??

I'm a guy, and I have pretty long hair, like 8 inches. Whenever I run my hand through my hair a few strands fall out. Is that normal? I don't think I'm balding, at least I hope not, I'm only 19

What will I wear and hairstyle for the prom?! My dress should have sleeves and my hair is so long.Suggestions?

Last prom night i let my hair rolled and pinned with a hair stick... It was a mess. I really have problems with it coz its a bit curly and it reaches up to my butt. My parents also restricted me to sleeved gowns.. How could I have a very nice design of gown and a very nice hairstyle?
