i have a friend he wants me to do cornrows for him and hes white. do u think it will look good? he has medium length hair

Cornrows are for who ever chooses to get them. I say as long as his hair can withstand the braiding then more power to him.
For the most part I believe cornrows are for people with thicker hair types, blacks, Indians, Samoans....
So I say do them, if they look stupid, tell him...but what really matters is how he thinks he looks.

anybody can wear cornrows. Hispanics, Whites, Asians etc. The only thing is that the braids wont stay in as long because their hair is thinner than African Americans.

cornrows tend to not look so good on lighter skinned people, I guess it depends on the face or what not, because sometimes it actually does look good. I say do them & if he doesn't like how it looks he can just take them out, it's not like it's permanent.

By what I recall, there was a white man who temproarily lived in a black-dominated island (I can't remember where) and he started wearing his long hair in corn rows and it helped him keep his head cooler in the hot weather there. (I read it in a forum he typed this in.)
I don't know if the style I'm thinking of is also called "corn rows" but I like the ones where they look like very thick plaits.

My brother (mexican) recently got his cornrows done. I think he looks retarded and that is one comment I kept to myself. Any one can get them done. Race or color. I don't care what shape your face and body play, in my opinion_ that hair style are strictly for African-Americans!
