does anyone out there use MAC makeup...if so, is it worth the money to buy?

Yes, and I love it (smile).
I'm a stylist by trade, so I am impressed by the product:
1. They make such a variety of foundations and finishes that work from "barely there" to theatrical coverage.
2. The color pallate has something for everybody - no matter what your skin or eye color - they have something that will work for you
3. Their products are high quality - they last and wear well.
4. MAC loves to innovate - they have fantastic sources of inspiration and "look books" that can keep you up with the latest trends - their website is a real blessing if you live far away from a store or can't find a makeup artist you get along with
5. While MAC staff at the department store counters are unusually well trained and the MAC store people are really intensively trained to deal with anything from princesses to glitter goths of both sexes, you may have to shop around a little to find an artist that you feel happy with, but the training really pays off there.

I use Bare Minerals for my face and MAC for all my eyeshadows just cause they have so many colors. But now CoverGirl and all those companies are catching on and have lots of colors too. I don't really think it's worth it. I just looked over at my makeup the other day and thought, damn, $300 worth of eyeshadow, what a waste.

Yes.. I love their eyeshadows because they last forever, and they look alot better than cheap Wal-Mart stuff. I also like their powders. Also make sure you get a good brush to apply your shadow with and also for the powders.. I dont like those circular flat sponge things they sell. Not good for blending. The ladies that work at MAC are usually very helpful in finding the correct shade for you as well, something you don't find in cheap drugstores. Hope this helps!

I think MAC is one of the most inexpensive brands amongst its department store competitors. Some of the products such as the eyeliners, eye shadows, and bronzers are worth the price, but some of the foundations are very similar to the drugstore brands.

I really like MAC makeup. I have used millions of their lipglosses and eyeliners. I also really like the mascara. Definetly worth the money if you choose wisely. Good luck!

If you like for your eyes or features to really pop out MAC is really great makeup, but if you like to keep in natural I wouldn't suggest buying it.

If you have dry skin, don't use studio fix powder foundation. Use the creamy foundation with the same type of compact. I love the lipsticks, eye shadows, blushes. I dont spend a lot of money on mascaras though, since they need to be replaced every 2 months.

No it isnt. MAC is like stage makeup. lip glass is ridiculous unless you like glue-like texture, hair magnet lip gloss. Their powders are thick too. Too matte to look luminous and natural.

thats really the only make up that i like to use and i think its worth the buy. their foundation is amazing. and they have soo many different colors of eye shadows.
