you can lose 100 or more hairs per day and that's totally normal. don't worry, your head will keep growing more. gently brush your hair every day to keep it healthy and to rid yourself of those dead hairs that are ready to come out. if you think you are losing significantly more than that then you may not be eating very well and you should improve your diet. if you are worried that you are going bald, look at your mothers father; that's where you will inherit your hair loss pattern from. if he's missing hair then find out what age it happened to him at, and you stand a pretty good chance of following a similar pattern.
don't forget to clean out the shower drain when you're finished in there out of consideration of the people you live with.

Well, even if we dont run our hand through our hair, we lose so much hair in a day...much more if we use a bit of force by running your hand through it...maybe those are the hairs that would most likely to fall on that day...however, if you keep running and running your hand in the same section of your hair and there are hairs that still fall out...then you better go see your doctor coz it's not normal anymore...

Dude, it all comes down to how often you brush your hair each day. Daily, you naturally shed upwards of 100+ strands of hair. If you don't brush at least 2x daily, it will seem as if you are losing your hair all at once. For example, I have curly hair & don't brush my hair. I comb it in the shower when I am detangling with conditioner. Because I don't brush my hair, my drain looks as if a cat was crawlin up it. That hair need to go somewhere.
So yes, it is normal...

YES it's totally normal. You can lose up to 100 hairs a day (or less). The longer & thicker your hair is the more it's going to fall out. You aren't going bald. Your hair goes through three stages of hair growth (the growing, resting & shedding), your hair is constantly being shed & regrown.
