I'm looking for a good idea to use for a Christmas background for a family photo of my girlfriend and I that we could include our cat in. I would like something other than the traditional Christmas tree or fire place. Also I would like to do it with out using editing software like Photoshop.

My husband and I are having are pictures take tomorrow. I'm 6months pregnant. The manager at the studio where we will be having our pictures taken said that if I wore a black shirt, with a black background it would make my stomach appear smaller. Does anyone know if this is true or what colors really stand out with a black background? Thanks!:)

I only uploaded them this week - they all have the same title (phonepics) and they dont have any tags. Yet I have had 448 views in 3 days.
I don't actually mind that they are getting views - I just can't work out how people know they are even there.

They are altered photographs that I've taken. I was just wondering what you guys think of these? Would you more serious photographers consider this photographic art? For obvious reasons I've decided to call this style 'Neon Photography.'

I am going to DC on business tomorrow (Saturday) for a week and I will have the weekend to go see sights. Is there any suggestions as to what to photograph? I will be on a shoestring budget so I wont be able to get into any museums.

I'll have a camera and a tripod. Any suggestions?

When you use developed slide film as a filter to get IR's... the result is a "Lookalike" IR or is really an Infrared image?

Any one have one, or have tried one??

Something like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, aside from the auto features that they all seem to have, but also manual control of aperture, shutter, FOCUS, ZOOM, with a hotshoe for flash?? I think there are a couple of other brands that are similiar.

Any critiques or reviews??

When you take photos with digital cameras at night, it may take 20-30 seconds (or more) to take a photo. I don't understand how you can shoot movies with darkly lit scenes if each shot (frame) takes longer to shoot. Why do the rules of photography not apply to movies if movies are based on photography? Thanks!!!
