I took it with a Pentax K 1000, black and white, you know, old school style.

No. The composition is ok, but the shaded panel at the bottom of the sign is distracting and needs to be lightened and the sky and building need to be darkened (burned in) to provide more interest and detail. The clouds, especially to the left of the sign are washed out.

It hovers on boring with a hint of potential.
It does depend upon what you mean by a 'good photo'.
If you mean is it 'technically good?' Tones, etc, then it is close but no cigar. See answer above mine.
If you mean is it 'visually good?' That is a different question. I know the 'feel' that it is supposed to generate but it isn't doing the job for me. There are some diagonals that tend to please, the subject has potential, black/white is a nostalgic medium and suits ... it just isn't making me say 'Wow! I wish that this was mine!'
Photography is a funny old game. Art is definitely subjective - subject to a wide variety of people's tastes - and we cannot please all the people all the time.
Here is an example:

Look at that one and, by your own standards, make a judgment. Is it something that you would gladly see hanging on a wall in a photo exhibition - or not. Would you display it in your own home? It is a personal assessment and each person will judge differently.
So, what is your REAL question? Has it been answered? Did you appreciate any one answer? Was that answer telling you what you wanted to hear or that you needed to hear?

PS: That link may look truncated but it does work.
PS again: Watermarks. Don't do it. They distract hugely and are easily removed by those determined to do so.

Hi Ana. I am not a photo expert (merely an amateur photographer), but I will share my thoughts. Do with them as you please.

I think the focus and resultant detail are excellent. However, I don't understand the point of the photo? What is the building in the background on the right? How does that building relate to the sign? What is the sign about? Is it a business? A building? Are you trying to depict an older business concept? A time 'gone by'? Or, are you interested in the architecture of the sign itself?

Bottom line: what idea or feeling are you trying to convey?

Best wishes.

P.S. I love 'old school' with the manual Pentax! Keep taking photos with it!

The lighting isn't very good. There are mainly white values, where are the contrasts, the shadows and the mid-tones? I suggest you adjust this using the curves control in Photoshop, or just simply increase the contrast.

If I may, your watermark is quite distracting. Probably better if it were not there, or if you had made it smaller, and off the center.
