I paint original artwork, which I then sell. Do I retain the copyright, as the artist, or does it transfer to the buyer automatically as part of the sale?

Hello,
I am looking for information on a European artist by the name of Vandersteen from the early 1900's. He painted still life such as flowers in a vase, landscaping. The painting I am referring to is one called "Cherry Blossoms". I do not have the first name of this artist so any info. on various artists with this name who painted still life around this period would greatly be appreciated. If you would contact me at lathym@yahoo.com.
Thank you

We were there this summer and there is an artist there who paints pictures of cows on the beach, in the surf, and so on. I am desperately trying to find out who this artist is! I have tried searching everything I can think of. My hope is to find someone who has seen these and knows who I am talking about. Thanks!

I wrote a short story a while back but have to fix some parts before I submit it to a contest at my school. It's about painting...and I could have sworn that I read on a website that all colors mixed together form the color WHITE. But I'm proofreading the story and it just doesn't seem right. Is there such a thing where all colors mixed together form a certain color? If so, what is that color? It's very important that I find out.
