Painting

I am wanting to put some of my art on a website like Ebay. I see all these other people who are selling theirs saying 'quality acrylics' what are good quality acrylics? I use test pots of acrylic paint, from the hardware store. Is this OK? The colour dosn't seem any different, and the ones in the tubes don't last long enough if your painting on a big canvas.
I'm self trained (a family of artists) so don't know the rules of fine art.

Floral painting(yellow, blue, mauve,red flowers) The flowers have a lot of medium in them to make them raised off of the canvas. It makes them look like they are growing out of the canvas itself. Can anyone identify this artist and time era? Help

Searching for a particular water color on silk painting of his. He has over 300 so its particularly hard for me to find myself hoping for some help. He usually paints bamboo with flowers and a bird or sometimes no flowers but a bird. the particular one im looking for is a blue bird on a twig and bamboo and leaves with different blue hues and a beige background.
