Pewter is shiny just as silver is but it's a little bit darker - that's pretty much the only difference

Pewter, at least in my experience, is a very dark grey that has no luster. Silver is much lighter and it is shiny.

Pewter, to me, is a darker hue. It isn't as shiny as the silver.
