i want to build one, ive got a pile of bricks and access to a brilliant skip for metal and stuff, but havent seenone before that looks like the one in my head,i might make arrowheads or knifeblades or something, who knows?, just liike being outside in the summer. anyone????

I found this photo on DA, it shows excellently the goal I want to reach in photographing glass, with the same subject matter.

Where did this artist place (a) light source(s), or could you guess or give tips as to where good places are? Especially to get the definition not only on the clear glass, but the opaque glass too.

I want to be able to take photos and then add a background to them on the computer. Also do things like:
*Put a baby in a flower
*Add digital props

My question is.....
*Do I need a green screen software or could I just use my photoshop
*How exactly do you remove the green screen (If you can use photoshop do you just use the magic eraser?)
*I found the green screen backdrop but did not find a green sheet like thing for the floor (to sit or stand on)
*Is there a good digital backdrop and props website to buy cd's off (the one I found looks a little cheesy)

ive taken art for school and i want to use felt-tips somehow on part of my coursework
i know you can add a bit of water and use it as ink but how else can you use them (like a style or adding something i.e. water) to make it look good and not tacky

if anyone has any tips, or pictures that use felt-tips well or anything like that .... thank you

scan them after they have been developed and printed? get them put on disk from the place developing them? the only thing im worried about is the quality they'll be after I scan them. any suggestions?

I have a very old nativity set from Germany. The figurines are ceramic. Several of them have broken and I don't have the missing pieces. For instance, the donkey's ear is missing. The shepard's nose is missing. One of the wise men is missing a jar that he was holding. This set has been in my family for over 50 years. I would like to repair these figurines, but do not want to damage them any further, how do I go about it/

so..

ive been into drawing for quite some time now and i just draw these monster things i made up and i cant seem to draw anything else i've bought lots of drawing books and read them but i cant get any better where do i go from here (some good practice techniques or ideas on how i can increase my skill (rapidly would be nice) and i dont even have to be pro id just like to think of something and be able to draw it , because whats happening right now is i think of something get to the paper and forget everything because im so concerned about trying to draw it and cant or ill keep erasing and give up (but dont tell me not to give up :P )

I'm looking into buying some higher quality inking pens and brushes for cleaning up drawings. I'm thinking about starting a drawing journal that is going to last and whose pages I might eventually scan. So a dependable pen would be great!

I would love to hear any recommendations for pens that you rely on and what use you get out of them.

Also, I've been looking into a gift box of Faber-Castell PITT brush pens - anyone have any experience with this mark?

I used to have a book on the history of clothing/costume. It covered both historical and contemporary clothing (as a timeline, terminating when the book was published -- sometime in the early '60s, I think), and contained a special supplement on fashion illustration.

I remember the book had more information than normal regarding the ancient Cretian/Minoan civilizations. I would love to know the title, so I could re-buy the book someplace. I think it was something generic like "history of clothing", so it's very hard to search for!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i have been facinated with both film and nature since i have been a young child, i am entering my 4th semester in college and i was wondering what i would have to do so that i could do that. Also what jobs are out there, are people mostly freelance or hired by like discovery channel or whatnot. you a possible major be in film or in nature or like a double major. also is this a legit profession.

I just recently got a Diana+ Camera for Christmas, and I'm in love with the creamy textures it produces (from what I've seen from examples).
But, I've never used this type of camera before, and I'm a tad confused.

How much does the film cost? What about processing?
Why is there such back-lash against Lomo cameras? (I'm only using mine for leisure, not any professional or serious photography.)
