If you would like to start a website, but not pay anything for it, then you may want to try using FreeWebs.com to create it.

FreeWebs has a site builder and also gives you the option to upload a website that you may have already made in HTML or using a WYSIWYG editor.

You can also buy a domain name, such as YourWebsite.com and forward it to your website so that people wouldn't have to type in Freewebs.com/YourWebsite.

However, if you are looking at a paid website, then you may want to look into some web hosting. Yahoo! offers web hosting, such as Geocities and such that you may want to look into.

Also, there are free hosts out there such as FreeHostia.com, which lets you upload your website via FTP if you choose to.

Freehostia also doesn't place any ads on your website.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

Maybe you should start up a blog and post your work. Yahoo! provides some great, free blog tools. Personally, I use Blogger. http://www.blogger.com

Good luck!
