Recently, a business near my home changed the sign to read "I got a sweater for Christmas this year, I wanted a moaner or a screamer". This is on the side of an adult strip joint! Do you know anymore that are funny?

I just noticed a couple days ago that if you write straight down a piece of notebook paper, the corners start to curl up. Has anyone else observed this? Does anyone know why that happens?

Im doing a documentary video on "How I Am Part of the Hip Hop Subculture". My video will revolve and play off of the 4 elements of Hip Hop; Break Dancing, MCing, DJing, and Graffiti. I have three of the elements but i need someone who does Graffiti. The Graffiti section of the video will consist of an interview and then the artist spraypainting a small area. If you are at all interested in being in the video i would deeply appreciate it if you would contact me through my email. Just so you know i have 2 weeks max to record all the footage and edit so the sooner the better. Thanks.

As a programming exercise I create this site: http://pixelpleasure.googlepages.com and after I was done I like it and am thinking of continuing to keep it up to date.

Here is my problem. The site does not allow comments so I do not have a way to ask people their opinion ... thus I am here.

Now I asked this last night on another category and only got one response. Today I am hoping to get some more. I have made it up to a level 3 helping a lot of people and have only asked a few questions till now.

I'm interested in entering a few art contests, to hopefully gain a little artist exposure, whether they be graphic design, painting or drawing.. but how do I find out about them?? I have looked on art gallery sites, government department sites, and tafe sites and cannot find information or lists of art contests for 2007, can anyone point me in the right direction to look.?? by the way I reside in perth, Australia.. so any Western Australian sites or contacts would be awesome but I'm happy to enter contest's from other states if it is a national contest.. I need a color chart that will tell me how I will get one shade by how much of two other colors. ie how do I make a light brownish tan color I know red and green make brown but I don't want to go by trial and error cuz its to expensive for me to due it that way can anyone give me any ideas? I googled color chart and found a good one but I really need to know how much of each color to make a specific color! MAN I hope that makes sense to someone!:)

My old art teacher left last year to get her masters degree. She was is mentor and I have an extremely close relationship with her. We still keep in touch and she helps me out with art or if I need advice on my personal life. My new teacher knows how close I am with my previous teacher and is very bitter towards me. Because of it, she has become incompetent, not helping me with my work, and won't tell me about contests or art festivals etc. I think it's because shes jealous that I had such a great teacher before her and she envies it. The worst part is that she is incharge of Yearbook, and chooses the editor, which I want to be next year. I'm afraid that she won't choose me because she doesn't like me. In the past she once told another student that she didn't want me to be elected Vice President of Art Honor Society (which she is in charge of) but luckily it was election by voting so I won. I don't know what to do because I want to be editor but can't stand her. PLEASE HELP!!!

I work full-time as a graphic designer for a commercial printing company. I also work as a freelancer on the side.

My design rates are more than reasonable, and also I go through an online printer to sell the materials to my clients. My prices for printing absolutely crush any local printers (and most online ones too, like vistaprint on most items). I've send out hundreds of emails to new chamber of commerce members in several states but hardly anyone is biting.

I need to stay away from local clients because I don't want to step on my company's turf. How do I find the right potential clients to market to, and how do I reel them in?

underglaze an greenware. then scrap away the underglaze to make a design then fire them together.so the bisque comes out underglaze except at those scrapped out designs. then it puts on clear glaze to make it shiny..

My son lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He is a very talented artist, and his work is some of the most creative I've seen.(although some of it is somewhat disturbing, but I really think there's a market for his work. He has a tattoo on his forearm that he actually designed himself and had done in New York and now all his friends want him to design some for them. The problem is, they can't find a tattoo artist around here that will let him design the tattoos...they all say THEY have to design them. How can he get into this line of work?

Comic Sans
Hobo
Any scrapbooking font
Zapf Chancery (seen it used all caps too many times)
If this question seems a bit off the wall to you, I used to work at a sign shop, so I worked with fonts all day.

My class is doing an art project about what represents our world today. I have to do it with two other girls and we have some ideas but we could use some help. It has to be three differnet things(objects, subjects,etc...) , so that each of us can have our own section.

It has to do with what represents our world or country. It can be political.
