Understand what that title really means. Develop some taste, art history sense, learn to draw. Not too long a multimedia professional was an illustrator who could work in gouache, oils, pastels and watercolours. Or he was the assistant basketball coach who changed the bulbs in the projectors, threaded the film. and counted the microphone stands. Before you learn enough grace, all that other crap you mentioned willl have been replaced and you wil be the guy checking out the slide projectors. Finding out what kinds of tech skills are being used currently is all well and good. Any competent vocational councilor should be able to direct you. But what you really need are role' models that you admire. find out what qualities they possess that made them successful in this field. Tech monkeys are not hard to come by.
