Composition can be extremely difficult. I think its important to concentrate on the storyline and sketch a rough outline of events etc. all of the minute details can be overwhelming if you just plunge into it, but if taken one step at a time, say an hour a day, it's achievable.

Take your time! Do not set a deadline for yourself (unless this is something for school, start well ahead of time to make a "buffer" if you run into writer's block). If you do run into a writer's block, walk away. Do not look at your story for a week. Come back to it and you'll be surprised what a week of not thinking of characters, plots and settings will do for you!

You can also set a pre-set amount of time just to write. Like ten minutes (so you don't get burnt out so fast). Listen to music while you write (if its not distracting). But I think taking your time is the best way to not get burnt out!

Good luck with your writings!

Writing is an adventure. The characters become real to you and you enjoy revisiting them as you write more stories. You become really tuned into the story line and it is like living an adventure, really. When what you are writing is interesting to you it just flows out of you time after time.
