My son lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He is a very talented artist, and his work is some of the most creative I've seen.(although some of it is somewhat disturbing, but I really think there's a market for his work. He has a tattoo on his forearm that he actually designed himself and had done in New York and now all his friends want him to design some for them. The problem is, they can't find a tattoo artist around here that will let him design the tattoos...they all say THEY have to design them. How can he get into this line of work?

if he works at a tattoo parlour for a while as an apprentice he will most likely work his way up to design. he may, however, need taught how to design properly as designing for someone's skin is very different from designing on paper.

it will probably take a while for him to work his way up, but any tattoo parlour that is willing to take on newcomers as designers so quickly is not worth working at.
