I've seen a poster of an Andy Warhol work - I have no idea of its name and I'd really like to find out.

The overall image was of a deserted highway, probably in the western United States. I remember rusty beercans on the ground and bullet-holed roadsigns with the number of the interstate or something.

But this wasn't just a drawing or photograph - it was one huge photograph made up of hundreds of individual photographs layered on top of each other into a massive collage.

Any ideas? I've searched online and drawn a blank.

Many thanks for your time.

Glitter... not the obnoxious, huge-specks kind, and not the metaphorical kind. I mean the glitter of a sticker, of the fairy wings you (or your friend) wore for Halloween when you were five, of glitter paint... what makes it so mentally entrancing?!

I for one could stare at a container of glitter paint for minute after minute after minute, twirling it around...around...around... which I just did a few minutes ago, only to pull myself away, curious as to what makes it so amazing.

Go to http://www.urbancurators.com
A group of RISD students calling themselves the Urban Curators have spent the last month finding and highlighting art in the most unlikely places in urban Providence. Passersby will noticed gilded, museum style frames on sides of deteriorating buildings, crumbling walls, on fences and on doors.
"By accenting the places that are often ignored or disregarded by passersby, we hope to compel people to reconsider their prior conceptions of beauty and worth," said one urban curator. Their goal is to engage the public in recognizing the aesthetic value of the decaying urban environment and to celebrate overlooked spaces and objects within the City.
They encourage people to get involved by framing something in their own environment and posting it to the website. Essentially, they want everyone to become an urban curator.
More information can be found on the urban curators' website, http://urbancurators.com. Video & map also.

I have done a handful of murals over the years, and I always have the problem of not adjusting my overall space with the over all image I'm trying to portray in the mural. I think partly it is due to the fact that my subject I'm painting seems to evolve and change as I progress through the mural. Which causes me to have to adjust it to the rest of the mural.
How do I calculate this when I'm laying everything out?
