There are artists all around us that influence our daily life. Take a look around your house or even in the mirror. Artists design the clothes you wear, the colors of makeup, what is sold as home decor for your home, and the magazines you read. The definition of an artist goes beyond someone with a paintbrush. So I would have to say that many artist do very well in thier profession. I know a lot of fine artists that do pretty well for themselves also. Dont let anyone tell you that you cannot make it as in artist, the world can never have too many creative people.

I make decent money selling my art, the problem is it isn't steady work. I can make a few thousand dollars one month and nothing for the next six months.
