specifically, if a color, say olive, which has more yellow than blue in it does it make it warm? because, i mean, the dominant color is a warm color...anywho yea...the main question is which are warm which are cool....thanks

traditionally the warm colors are taught as red-violet, red, red-orange, orange, yellow orange, and yellow and the cool colors are yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue, blue-violet and Violet...however as an artist and art teacher i often tell my students they have the option to exclude the colors of red-violet, and yellow-green because in my opinion they do not feel "right enough" to be included in the groups they have be assigned...

if the information you are looking for is for yourself and you are looking to settle your mind then by all means go with your heart for that is where your art comes from...otherwise the facts are varied from one teacher to another as well as art texts teaching the "facts"...and since when did a creative artist rely on "facts"...

Red orange yellow and all those mixed like red orange or warm
blue green purple are cool
all the others are natural like brown grey black and white

i feel its either side of d spectrum
red is warm, blue is cool
