how can the admissions officer tell if a drawing was not actually drawn by you? and is just photo copied?

i just finished a nice drawing using only a straight edge (theres no indication from the college that i cant use a straight edge) and im afraid they might think its just photo copied... because the lines are perfectly straight...

so is there a way i can show its not plagerized?

whenever i buy a pad to draw on i always get a sketch pad

but i was wondering if there is a diffrence bewteen the paper because its all about the toothyness and thickness of the paper and color but does the drawing and sketching on the front of the book make a diffrence

and i have some tracing paper i bought but i cant think of what to use it for, i traced a few pictures and that helped a little but i wanna get some ideas so i dont just waste it because it was expensive :D

ive taken art for school and i want to use felt-tips somehow on part of my coursework
i know you can add a bit of water and use it as ink but how else can you use them (like a style or adding something i.e. water) to make it look good and not tacky

if anyone has any tips, or pictures that use felt-tips well or anything like that .... thank you

p.s. my project is on ballerinas and animals (dreams, mind, etc. ) xxxxxxx

I'm looking into buying some higher quality inking pens and brushes for cleaning up drawings. I'm thinking about starting a drawing journal that is going to last and whose pages I might eventually scan. So a dependable pen would be great!

I would love to hear any recommendations for pens that you rely on and what use you get out of them.

Also, I've been looking into a gift box of Faber-Castell PITT brush pens - anyone have any experience with this mark?

I used to have a book on the history of clothing/costume. It covered both historical and contemporary clothing (as a timeline, terminating when the book was published -- sometime in the early '60s, I think), and contained a special supplement on fashion illustration.

I remember the book had more information than normal regarding the ancient Cretian/Minoan civilizations. I would love to know the title, so I could re-buy the book someplace. I think it was something generic like "history of clothing", so it's very hard to search for!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for some pictures or drawings of cartoon people from the 1930's (I think) I LOVE the look of it- the only example I can think of is the Monopoly guy and the drawings on the original monopoly board. Thanks everyone.

I've always wanted to draw, but seeing the drawings on deviantart.com really made me want to learn.
The thing is... I SUCK HARD WHEN IT COMES TO DRAWING!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to learn, but do you think it's too late to start at my current skill level and age? Please, anyone who has become a great artist from my age tell me if there's hope!!! I'M DESPERATE!!!
I always have these flashes of creativity, of these awesome pictures in my head, but everytime I try to put it on paper or make it on the computer, I fail horribly. T.T

I've always done drawings and people who've seen my stuff say "Why aren't you a professional artist?" I'm like if I knew the steps to take I would take them. I'd like to do comic book style stuff or story boarding. If anyone can help me that would be the coolest thing ever.
