I've always done drawings and people who've seen my stuff say "Why aren't you a professional artist?" I'm like if I knew the steps to take I would take them. I'd like to do comic book style stuff or story boarding. If anyone can help me that would be the coolest thing ever.

A lot of people want you to have a formal education in art, despite how good you are. Just because it lays a foundation and can open you up to new ideas. Bucking the system without a degree from an art school, or what have you, can be pretty difficult. So, if you want to go that route, you'll need to develop a portfolio and just beat the pavement to see what you can get. Don't be discouraged if you don't get your dream job off the bat. Art is an extremely competitive world and even Stan Lee started off as a text filler.

Make a portfolio of your work and take it to a gallery manager/owner about doing a show. You may only be allowed to display 1 or 2 pieces as a start but it will get you known. Another option is to go to an artsy cafe and offer to place your art for sale and split the sale with the owner (60 for you 40 for them). The more your work is seen the better. Good Luck!
