I have the same problem, both with drawing, and with music. I love both, but I have no talent.
Maybe you can buy a book on how to draw. It might help.
It's strange. I've known some people who could barely dress themselves or talk, but they could create a beautiful drawing in no time.
What we call "intelligence" is measured by math and language skills. But I think there are many other kinds of intelligence, artistic talent being just one of them.
Merry Christmas!

There are many more mediums to choose from. A lot of my friends, professionals and non-professionals alike, who can't draw tend to be better at sculpture or similar crafts. Ceramics, weaving, metal smithing, glass blowing, and hand molding arts are some areas you may want to explore. I'm always amazed that they usually don't work off of sketches and if they do their sketches are not that great.
The hardest part of being an artist is expressing your voice through the perfect medium. Some artists struggle their whole lives and may switch many times in their careers.
Do keep in mind that you should keep practicing your drawing skills. Even if you don't make a living directly from it, it's a great pre-visualization tool. You'll keep bumping into the need for basic drawing skills especially if you go to a university or program. You could take some classes to build your foundation. Never say never.

It's mostly practice. Doodle a lot. Check out online tutorials. Get the book out of the library called Drawing On The Right Side of the Brain (it's very good). The library should have a lot of beginner drawing books.
You'll find yourself improving a LOT if you keep practicing. Anyone can draw. The only ones who can't are the ones who convinced themselves that they can't.

Get some of the books by Walter Foster and follow directions.
You generally don't have to draw a straight line because there are not many straight lines in nature nor are there perfect circles in nature.
Try doodling at all times (After homework, please until you get out of school)
Set up a still life of Jars and vases and practice with those until you start seeing basic shapes in what you're looking at then transfer those lessons to out of doors. Hope this helps, good luck and Big Hugs.

ok so you have no artistic ability and kinda want to be an artist?????!!!!
Amazing....you i feel must have just left school.... and looked at the rubbish produced for the Saatchi bros.... and thought a good way to get hold of some cash.... Well seems to me you will possibly make it... almost definately next years Turner Prize winner
if you really want info on this I should ask Tracy Emin ..or one of her like... I cant remember the names of them....
Cos I prefer to look at the work of naturally talented artists.......................................................
HOWEVER if you can hold a pencil you may be able to actually learn how to do it....
I know full well the best country to learn is not the U.K.
If you really really want to learn to draw
go to Spain
they know how to teach this SPECIALIZED art.

Don't bother. I speak as a graphic designer myself - it's just something I naturally happen to be good at... but I'm dreadul at maths. So it would be like me saying saying I want to be an accountant. A wate of time - I could learn how to do it I guess but I'd never be that GOOD at it. Find something you have a talent in and work at making that the best you can.
