Both sides are not the same.

You can get a really good example of this by taking a mirror, placing the edge along the face vertically so you see half your face as is and the other half as reflected. Then move the mirror to show the other side, both sides are NOT the same, you'll look like two different people since there are enough subtle differences to make it stand out when you do this.

In general, asymmetrical means unbalanced. Specifically, if you were to draw an imaginary dividing line though an object, both sides would be equally-proportioned mirror images if it was a symmetrical object. An asymmetrical object would have two halves that appeared different.
