ok so ive been thinking about alice in wonderland lately and the illustrations from sir john tenniel and the disney animaton style. and, to tell you the truth, i love them both. i draw a lot and my drawings are ok but id really like to incorporate some of sir john tenniel's drawing style into my drawings, as well as the drawing style from the disney movie. BUT i have no idea how i would do that... i would really love to be able to make such bubbly characters as alice in disney. and i would equally love to be able to draw even an ounce like sir john tenniel. but id like to do this without having to trace things... so could you help me? thanks so much!!!

Hi- I have recently acquired a painting from an auction and I need help with anything you may know. It is circa 1860's or later and it is signed in red in the left corner. I can't make out what it is signed completely. I can definitely see the letter J. W--son. I can't tell what is between the W and the son it could either be one or two letters. The painting is of a woman whose face has dumbfounded every expert I have taken it to. They all said that they have never seen such attention to detail and such a gorgeous face. The painting is rather dreary looking but there isn't really a background, just black paint. It looks to be an oil painting, but I'm not sure because it is so fragile. Any help at all with this painting as to who could have painted it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This question is regarding it's use in photography. I've heard the less pure will damage your image in time,.

I am wondering what kind of lens they use to take The Dog photos. I'm sure they edit the photos to make them more adorable, but what lens/or techniques could I use to achieve a similar result? For reference, this is The Dog website http://www.thedog-clubs.com/home.html

And, in trying to reduce camera distortion, did I introduce other kinds of errors?

I posted this under a different question, but someone apparently didn't like it and reported me. Read the caption under the image. I just thought this was a funny picture. No need to answer. I'm just trying to lighten thing up a bit.

I have just completed Photo 10 (intro to photography). The next step up is intermediate photography (taught by the same instructor I had for Photo 10) but I am definately taking Studio Lighting, and I can only pick one other photo class:
intermediate Photography
or
Digital Photography.

I love taking film photography, but also want the option to shoot digitally.

I can't make up my mind. But I do think the Studio Lighting course is film or digital optional, so I might still have the option to use digital printing equipment at school. I'm not sure.

Any advice on what to do?

You can see some of my work here:

http://www.fanartreview.com/selectprofileportfolio.jsp?rnd=449727

To decide if I need to be in intermediate photography to practice, or if I can make it in Digital Photography.

If you click on "all" at the bottom, you can see how my photography has changed since I took my photo class. The oldest work is on the bottom, all digital, the new stuff is on top.

I need to send about 24 images to my daughter. The trouble is I have about 300 images saved from the card. How can I send this number on 1 e-ml? Also I know it's better to reduce them first.

I have an early model digital SLR (camedia e-10), and I really want to learn how to get good at photography. My composition is good, but I know nothing about using the camera and lighting. I don't really want to take a class, but I'm open to it if necessary.

I'd like to ship a wall sculpture.
It's about 125 pounds...
7 ft long and 3 ft wide, which I can colapse into 15 in.

I prefer local pick-up only.
However, the buyer insists on paying the shiping costs via his/her Fedex account.

The buyer lives in Roanoke VA.
My art is in NJ at Dad's.

How do I facilitate this?

I have a medical career, but I have a passion for mechanical and other design. I have sketch books full of great inventions and improvements to current designs for everything you can think of. I really want to see some of this stuff go to market but don't know where to start. If I see something, I can improve anything on paper. Independent investors, patent attorneys looking for artist/designers?.... any ideas?
