ok so ive been thinking about alice in wonderland lately and the illustrations from sir john tenniel and the disney animaton style. and, to tell you the truth, i love them both. i draw a lot and my drawings are ok but id really like to incorporate some of sir john tenniel's drawing style into my drawings, as well as the drawing style from the disney movie. BUT i have no idea how i would do that... i would really love to be able to make such bubbly characters as alice in disney. and i would equally love to be able to draw even an ounce like sir john tenniel. but id like to do this without having to trace things... so could you help me? thanks so much!!!

when i said incorporate both styles, i didnt mean in the same photo because the drawing styles are COMPLETELY different so it wouldnt work. i just meant sometimes i want to use disney-style drawing and sometimes i would prefer to use sir john tenniel's style of drawing. thanks again!

I think media, as opposed to style, would help with the Tenniel style, most likely you have seen the engravings in the books rather than original drawings, you can try using fountain or dip pens.
You can see Carroll's originals here

I still don't get what your question is. Drawing is all about doing it a lot. Painting you can wing it but drawing is 90% skill 10% inspiration and 15 procent theft and 60 % imagination.

Just start and you will develop your own style imagine what they look like and start drawing. Beatrix Potter had her rabit posing for her so why don't you? Yes, Peter Rabit posed for her in her mind.
