Was Cain innocent by using his god given free will? Forget about telling me you do not believe in the Bible. This is a question of human principle. With or without a god. I use "god" because no one has come up with a better word.

Normal adult humans are clear cut examples of beings that have a right to life. Trees do not have a right to life. Chimpanizees might or might not have such a right. Human embryos also may or may not have such a right. How is one to decide?

in kant's philosophical aspect, how do you act when you act purely from duty? and do you know when you are doing so? not sure, because according to kant, you act on doing something for the duty. you act because it's the right thing to do, not because of the consequence. you do rationalize a lot though. UGH. help.

Why can we all exist believing what we want to believe?
Because there is no truth, there is no reality, and there is no such thing as choice.

Not laughing yet? OK.

Life is a glass half full; half empty

Some men say it is half full
Some men say it is half empty
Some men say it is both
Some men say it is neither

All men are correct; all men are incorrect

Still not funny?

In the end, the destiny of that glass is to become completely empty
Thus our only choice is to drink or not to drink
Either way we lose. Those that taste end up with an empty glass.
Those that don’t end up with nothing.

Victory has no tomorrow.

I hope this made you laugh and vise versa.

that Newt Gingrich will also receive it for his work and his new book on environmentalism? He was a field professor in environmentalism long before Gore, but he differs from Gore greatly. Will the Nobel committee recognize there are differences in opinions, and give the prize to Gingrich, too?

My professor said that Plato's belief on the soul is: "It is eternal". I have been researching wheather it's true or not. The belief originated from the Egyptians. Socrates, his teacher believed that the soul is IMMORTAL. Why do some people say that in Plato's perspective that the soul is ETERNAL? What is the correct and philosophically valid information on this?
