Hi Third,
well, I guess philosophy's goal is nothing less than a systematic world view... This goal also means that you can study anything under the name of philosophy. Philosophy encompasses subfields called philosophy of religion, of law, of economics, of biology, of physics, of mathematics, of computers, of psychology, of art, of music, of literature, and so on. Any and all of these topics can be studied in a philosophical way when one asks how they are related to each other in an overall world view.
So for me philosophy is a necessity in life...which leads me to the purpose of life and help me be more successful in other feilds as well.

To come close to answering fundamental questions of society. Of course they will never be answered in their fullest sense, but each of the different schools of philosophy has an answer of its own which can be interpreted and applied to the question in many ways, and the different schools are constantly warring over who is right. This makes philosophy a very diverse and interesting area of study.

I was into this from a very early age but had no name for it then. Love philosophy but lack like minded people to share it with.

I enjoy the conversations and the depth of knowledge needed in order to contribute sufficiently. I crave knowledge and wish to question various subjects within philosophy. I also find ethics really interesting as it looks at acts committed by people. One should know that philosophy and ethics go hand in hand. But there you go!

Probably i have an innate bent towards it, but important contributory factors are likely to have been a refusal to specialise academically, an aversion to practical skills in early life and a compulsion to question everything.
Then there's the flippant answer that it's the most important thing in the world.

Hi third p
i don't know as fact why i love philosophy, maybe because it stimulate my intellectual force, awaken the mind of slumber and send it new life, It's like a stone fall such stagnant water in the lake, making it discovered the meaning of movement.
for me philosophy is life.

I love to be reminded of how complex human beings are; that quest for knowledge and inbuilt thirst to share thoughts and ideas is part of what keeps us young and vibrant. I also like to remind myself that I can delve into my aging brain and share my own.
You have a great day too!
