some thousand years ago there was a kingdom. one day a giant dragon the size of a mountain arrived, he plundered the kingdom killing thousands of people destroying enormous amounts of property. every week the dragon started doing same thing, . as the technology available to them was very inferior, they had no way to kill the dragon , the wise men said why not make a deal with it, so that a thousand men will be sent every week to the dragon as its food, and in retun it will let the kingdom live peacefully. the deal was struck. years went by and the deal was kept from both sides.slowly a lottery system was introduced to send people, roads and trollies were constucted to send the people to the mountain, hundreds of thousand people were employed in the industry, one day a young man came with a new technology which could kill the dragon. but the people became worried . they argued there will be enormous job lost, economic slump and besides chances of killing th dragon was uncertain .

It is incredibly difficult to bring Western & Eastern philosophies together. So I'm not sure how one would measure success here. I suppose that instead of "successfully" one could consider changing that phrase in the question to "most usefully" or "in such as way as to express the truth of things more accurately.".

When Simon was on the cross in place of jesus the Bible says that a soldier pierced Jesus. That was supposed to be the shedding of blood. But.....the Bible says water came out. No blood. A crucifixion does not kill by bloodshed. That was the reason for the sword. Wrong reason. Wrong guy.

philosophy of one or the other (or both). This question is possibly reducible to: "Schopenhauerian pessimism or Nietzschean optimism? Which is closer to the truth of things?" Or can their philosophies be reconciled in some way?

would it not be wise for Governments of the World to encourage peoples of ancient traditions living on their territories, who have knowlege of how to survive in situations that we of a "civilized" life-style would not, to return to their old style of life
in order that some part of Humanity might continue on this Earth?

It has been some decades since Western culture could be accurately described as Industrial. Since the under-consumption crisis of the Thirties, we have shifted entirely into a social structure dominated not by production but by reproduction, not by equivalence but by commutation, not by merchandise but by the model. We live in a post-industrial world. A world no longer where all labor is exchanged and loses its singularity but where labor and leisure become entwined. Not a culture bought and sold but one where all cultures simulate one another. Not a place where love is prostituted but where a liberated keel sexuality is compulsory. And an era in which time is no longer accumulated like money but is broken in a confused web of nostalgia,
fetishism and futurism.
SPK has always been certain to establish its separation from any label like "industrial" because it has always pursued a strategy radically more efficient - the successor to industrial society.

Or should I say, what do you think is the purpose of life? I am a college Senior and when I look around me I see good deeds, but I also see a lot of selfish kids who waste a TON of money on alcohol most nights out of the week and waste their parents' money. There is a homeless man who frequents our library so right now I am trying to wrap my mind around all of it. If kids put as much energy into helping people as they do stalking people on Facebook, or getting drunk more often than not, then the world might actually be a great place. Who knows.. Oh, and I'm no saint myself. I like to party, but I also like community service.
