I guess you're dissatisfied with the way you are being loved in-returned..therefore you don't want to love anymore because you might be afraid to get hurt.

You can't. Love is the one basic need and feeling that you have absolutely no control over. You can isolate yourself from all others and become a hermit, But it will not take away the inside human need for it. You can not make yourself love someone else nor can you keep from loving someone.
