He claims that white people are more racist then black people. he used many "big" words and studies that white people are more racist. Thats B.S how can you make a study about who is more racist? My point is that if i will go to africa then i would get descriminated on there because most of the population there is black ( in most parts anyway)... here majority are white so that is why there is more racism towards black people. He says that in africa they like white people and white people are still more racist.

For example:compassion. If a person lacks compassion, does that person then, by definition, lack the understanding of compassion? By "understanding" I don't mean the definition of the word. I mean an accurate, personal perception of the concept.

Does the lack of understanding preclude possession?

In my mind, this can be said to be true of some human qualities, such as compassion and empathy. (I'm equating these because I see them inextricably linked.) How can and individual understand empathy yet not possess it?

Someone who is unable to feel what others feel lacks empathy and therefore does not - can not - understand it.

Love on the other hand doesn't appear to fit this model. One can feel love but not necessarily understand it. I know I don't. Sure, one can describe the feeling of butterflies and joy in someone's company or distress in someone's absence but, what is it? Why is it? Regardless of the questions you possess the quality.

So, how do you feel about that?

so you have accomplished nothing by creating a religion. We still don't know how matter started, whether man or something called God, so why don't we admit we don't know? Better to be honest, than to deceive everyone with religious boondoggle that tries to give an answer where there is no answer.

I'm not racist. I will not say what race I am, it is irrelevent to the discussion. I was in a debate yesterday and could not find a fault with this persons logic, but this persons logic said it is ok to be prejudice (NOT OK to hate others, but to have prejudices about the type of person they LIKELY are).

Here it is. A black bear, a polar (white) bear and a brown bear are about as genetically and physically similar as different human species. Black bears are the smallest (statistically), asian humans are the smallest (statistically). So why is ok to say something like a polar bear is the most prone to violence but not 'race A' is most prone to violence. Why can an average brown bear be smarter than an average black bear but a average 'race B' can't be smarter than an average 'race C'

Furthermore, why can we say 'race D' is statisically taller than 'race E', but not that one is smarter. If studies show that a particular race is better at, say math, why is it racist to say it?

First off I do not believe in God or any god. I think the main reason why no one who believes in God can prove there is a God is because of the reasons they give. They will say "faith" proves it. No it does not. If you have faith in something, you believe in it. So prove it. Don't bother saying, "waking up each day, childbirth, a beautiful sunset" are all proof of God. They are not. That is life and not a life that was granted by a god. Life is something that started billions of years ago and just keeps moving along. God believers state that life can not come from non-life and want us to believe that means only God can prove why we are here. Why can't you believe something that may have happened just like you want us to believe that every unexplainable thing must be an act of God. Proof is proof and needs to be backed up by facts; facts than can be proven...hence proof. Until there is real proof I will continue to not believe in a God...Let the bashing begin. :)

I used to be filled with hope that I would be able to do something great in my life; that people would come together to solve the problems of the world; that the divisions of religion would fall away; that the gap between the rich and poor would diminish.... but it seems as if all of these things have only gotten worse since I was younger. Am I wrong to be cynical about the hope and future of the human race?

I grew up poor, far beyond the poverty line. Ever since I turned 18 I've manage to improve my standard of living more and more. It seems as if the more money I have, the happier I am. Why can't money buy happiness?

What are your thoughts on Abortion?
Is it murder?
But under the right circumstances could it be right?
Are the permanent scars really worth it?
I am really interested in hearing other peoples point of views on this one.
I am writing a paper on abortion and I'd love to hear what you think.
Thanks.

If you do not know that you have lived before and will live again in another body, this question will seem bizarre. Those who understand the intelligence of the universe know the nature of the question and are probably applying their wisdom in day-to-day activities. Yet, for all of his beautiful brilliance, Mr James Watson at 79! does not understand this fundamental fact. Mr Watson may choose to return to Earth and be one of those pupils who, because of "inferior DNA," just can't seem to learn (Ritter).

Mr Watson, let us be careful with what we think, say, and do from now on! If you learn to control your thoughts with the same degree of exactness as you did with those DNA experiments, you would be a great person as well as a great scientist.

Thank you for your magnificent contribution to science. I am one of those inferior beings you spoke of recently.
