shopping, of course......pay off my old debts to get my credit in order, i'd spend it on a nice big house, and i'd have a couple luxury cars that me and my hubby would like, a nice long vacation, a new wardrobe for me and my family, i'd invest in rental property, and i'd buy some stock for my kids. a well spent million dollars.

Really, it wouldn't be hard at all. It would make a down payment on some houses or boats. But I'd rent a private jet, load up my friends, and we'd spend a month on some island getaway.

I would use part of it to pay off my debts, buy a decent house (not a mansion), and a cryonics suspension for after I die.

The rest (probably at least $600-700K remaining) I would use to buy stocks & mutual funds, and watch the money grow over time. :-)

Pay off my mortgage, buy me a gigger house, buy me and my husband a new dependable car each put money into my kids' college fund. I would buy my parents a house and put money up for my neice and nephew or college also.

Buy T-bills until I can figure out what I want to do with it.

Edit: Anyone who is able to find, assess, close, and pay for a house in a day is severely overpaying.
