My idea is that the meaning of life is to gain character through toil, it has always seemed to me that we were put here in order to suffer, at least some of the time, and learn from our toils.

where am i going wrong with this?

(please be serious)

we know of the giants throughout history who have been persecuted for their ideas....Hallaj......Socrates.....Oscar Wilde.......i am however refering to lesser mortals such as myself living in modern times .....

how does one harmonize an idealistic/ 'radical' PoV with a harsh and unforgiving reality and survive the wreckage........?

what are the hurdles which you have encountered?

and what would be considered the biggest enemy to independent thinking?

THANK YOU in advance to ALL of you

I think a second doesnt matter when you dream,
but seconds dont exist in fanasty.
I think alot of thoughts of wonder and amaze,
its like i sleep at night and only live at day.
I think a minute needs to last for a second longer,
i can only wish to exist for something other.
I think a thought is but a feeling that you feel,
and a feeling is a thought u can conceal
I think alot of things but no one listens
I guess thats why a minute is just a minute or is it?

Anyway moving along...If human kind cant survive on earth, then where dumb as H. E. double hokey sticks. Let me explain the earth is a big place, even if its smaller then other planets, and it recycles everything, an preserves and protects everything, as long as its not being "more out then in" we will be fine on earth, as far as resourse are concerned, anything else the earth will work out. But in space we will probably be in bio-domes or what have u, with very limited resourses(including air), and whatever we do to make it work as earth did, will not work, because of the population growth that may occuring in space, there will be "more out then in". So to survive in space we will have to have a set amount of resourse and capacity to
