Conflict of interests, mostly. The American perception is that those of the middle east want America to burn like the denizens of hell (being the great satan) that it is. Whether that's accurate or not isn't important, but that's the perception. And generally, when someone says "I want you to be destroyed, you're evil" your first reaction is "well !@#$ you too!"

I think there is a big misunderstanding. Our soldiers get ptsd. They do not want to be fighting not all of them. They do not want to go back and they keep getting sent back because no new people want to go to war. Americans in general do not believe in that war. They think is has no reason. We do not like inocent people dying on either side. Why is the question. What does it have to do with anything and how do we get out of this mess that is already created. We have different values on life and it creates confusion. It would be so nice if we could all live in peace as humans and just respect one another. It is okay to believe different things. I have heard that great things have come from the middle east like Algebra. My boyfriend told me. I wish that all people there could live well and not in poverty. I wish that there was not such a difference between rich and poor. I wonder why there are gold castles and then such poor. I want a middle class for the middle east. I wish the rich would give to the poor there. Our soldiers get really freaked out there. They are marines and they are not trained for what they are doing. They get a person shot and then they attack. These are some combat trained people major combat and they are being used in the wrong way. When the are attacked the atack back hard.
everyone is so stressed. It is just so complex. They do not mean harm. They are stressed.
We do not hate you. Our president is not a good man. The sodiers are sent to jail if they do not go back again and agian. I am sick of all the death. Katrina 9/11 the war. I just want it to stop. I do not want your people or our people to die. I do not hate you. I know good people who are arab and muslem in america. There is good and bad in all religions and all people.

Most Americans don't hate Arabs or Moslems, in fact a lot of Americans are Arabs or Moslems. A lot of us are getting pretty concerned, though, about the fanatical types of Moslems who want to destroy us. We in America are pretty used to a variety of ethnicities and religions, in fact we enjoy it and we learn from each other. And we'd like to keep our country this way, with freedom and equality under the law.

We don't all hate them I don't think anyone in the western culture fully understands the eastern culture at all. All we see is our side of the story from our way of thinking that we learn through our way of learning, etc... We don't know any better. We think we're right. Unfortunately, we're not always right. I sypathize with with the people dealing with these religious wars, and personal attacks on thier homes. I pray for them to be delivered from the terror. People like me just aren't being represented by our country. atleast I don't feel like I am. I would feel the same way about america if I were an outsider looking in. But that's what we are. Outsiders looking in on the Arab countries. The whole thing just sucks. Its doomed to be the end of us all....

like human, community also shows this kind of behavior.
you have said Arab / moslems but in your subconscious you also mean westerner / christian. now both this communities hate each other because of the first two reasons.
both this religion claim that theirs is the only true religion all other religion are false and one should convert all to their religion or kill those who refuse to get converted and those who kill nonbelievers get heaven. much of the violence has taken place due to this claim and hate is like anger it keeps growing if not controlled properly. both this communities hate feed on each other and keep growing.

Muslims in the Arab world show themselves to be barbaric, cruel, evil, and untrustworthy.
