I think...
Long ago, the creator of everything being all-powerful, but at that time not all-knowing, needed to understand what it would be like to not be. After all, if you are all-powerful, what's left? So the creator of everything blew him-her-itself to countless infinitesimal parts in a huge cataclysmic show of heat, light and speed. Since that time after the creator of everything studied the results of not being, the creator decided to learn what it was like to be every thing and everything. To make sure the best results were obtained there had to be assurance that there'd be no meddling in the individual courses everything and every thing took. So, sooner or later all things began coming back together in their own paths, and somewhere along the way there was life (after all there was consciousness to begin with and if great minds think alike sooner or later they come together). The point of your life is to ensure your little chunk of everything and every thing makes it back to the creator. You are unguided except by how you choose to live your life--to travel your path. Some of us will be brought back by a tortuous path. Others will come back by a path that won't be smooth, but won't be a mess of switchbacks either. Very few indeed will come at the most serene pace over the smoothest of terrain. What's the point of life? Finding the path home that suits you best. I wish you luck.

You assume that there is a point to life. We're here because there was a collection of events that lead to the current circumstances. The term "why" implies a sentience willed it to be that way (as opposed to "how" which is more along the lines of "the big bang, that's how!"). So, if we're assuming some deity, then the answer is simple: The deity wanted us to be here!
But why are you still here? Because you haven't died yet. That means that at the very least, you have some kind of will to live; I'd trust that instinct. It is rather self-justifying really.

Nicely placed question.
Philosophy is a field of study that includes diverse subfields such as aesthetics, epistemology, ethics, logic, and metaphysics, in which people ask questions such as whether God exists, what is the nature of reality, whether knowledge is possible, and what makes actions right or wrong. The fundamental method of philosophy is the use of reasoning to evaluate arguments concerning these questions. However, the exact scope and methodology of philosophy is not rigid. What counts as philosophy is itself debated, and it varies across philosophical traditions.
Life has whatever point you attribute to it. What goal do you have? If that goal is to prove that life is pointless, you just killed your argument.

Currently, there is no real point...
So I guess you could say the point of life is to come up a reason for living...
