This poem that I had a friend give me a cody for my great grandma and my godfather's funerals. The righter is unknown, but is a very good poem!! When I read it out loud I cried!Hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

In Loving Memory Of ______.
Balloons at My Funeral
I read a poem by a teenage Miss,
amazed that I hadn’t thought of this.
“Balloons at My Funeral” is what the title reads;
that is exactly what my funeral needs.
Helium filled so they can fly proud and high,
with varied colors against a brilliant blue sky.
Colors to match every emotion that I had….
angry, loving, thoughtful or sad.
A lone white one for the purity of birth,
a lone yellow one for my last day on earth.
Many more… red, black, purple, blue, and green…
For all the sorrow, hope, and joy that I’ve seen.
Balloons helped me celebrate every event I can name.
My final event must be treated exactly the same.
When the words are spoken:
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust”:
Release my balloons to be caught

If your heart is set don't let it be set in stone for stone will crack one day instead let it be set in water where no fall is too harmful.
If your mind is stuck don't let it be stuck in a hole where the view is dim lighted instead let it be stuck in the sky where the view is well lit.
If your soul is buring with desire don't damper it with doubt instead enlighten it with encouragement so it can burn the brightest.

I hope everyone gets the metaphors

What should we do first!?
Who thinks that the problems in third world countries should be prioritised, and a campaign be organised to put the list to the main charities.
What I mean should we do Vaccines first? Or support a clean water program? Again, should we help with home building? Maybe a contraception program? I am talking about people who are not in danger of war or in the middle of famine.
Could you please add to this list? Would you make a list that we could put up and take a serious look at.

"my voice is but a whisper
as i'm calling out to you.
i'm quickly sinking deeper,
and i just don't know what to do.
the pain runs deep,
my heart can't last;
time's running out--
i'm falling fast.
please save me now,
before it's too late.
i feel death pulling me,
and it just won't wait.
i'm just a kid,
and life is hard.
some people make it,
but i'm broken and scarred.
i fell quite fast,
my time is through.
you just couldn't hear me,
as i called out to you.
there were always other things
more important than me.
i was falling so fast,
but you never could see.
i was the girl you ignored,
who had problems, then died.
but what you will never know
was that it was suicide.
all i needed was someone,
just someone to get me through.
but you just couldn't hear me,

As I Cried Out To You......."

i found this great poem/song on the internet... anyone know who wrote it? do you think its good?

Carelessly growing up and growing old
Together
We sat beneath the maple tree

Crawl through the forest
Trying to find the light
I never was alone
I never had been

But forever took too long
And you weren’t by my side
Any longer

And the day came when you shut the door
And I was by myself
You’re so much stronger

Don’t want to turn around
In case you disappear
And leave me here

It was the greatest dream
But you were never here
Not really ever here
