If you went back in time to the day you were born and decided to stay and watch yourself grow up right until the point your at right now, what would be the repercussions of watching yourself go back in time again? This is damn near impossible to answer. If your just gonna guess then don't bother answering this Q.

I want to learn about different movements, styles, artists, etc purely for personal interest.
Can anyone reccomend the best books, websites and guides?
Ideally first I'd like to learn the different movements/styles and then why each one was different, new and popular.

Thanks!!

Me and my brother just made a $10.00 bet. I think that the largest art community in the world is DeviantArt.com because it says so and it has over 30 million pieces of art submited. He thinks that there is a larger one. Is there?

Fussed Flags
by
ccje

We are like fussed flags soaring through this life.
We take what ever the zephyr winds bring our way.
We walk on side by side in a flowing glow.
The night skies are filled with countless sparking stars,
But none can match the spark in my heart.
There's an air about you that takes my breath away.
You transport me to a higher level of being in love.
You have the aura and the tone of what love is.
What ever the zephyr carries on the breeze of time,
I am sure we will handle.
For my love for you is frozen in time.

“Eww. Now my shoes are getting all muddy. Come on Shane onto the sidewalk.” My owner Emily says to me during our nice walk to the park.
Shane? Shane? She said my name! Maybe I should go jump on her. Not caring that my paws are all grimy and that I’m a 70 pound golden retriever, I jump onto Emily, nearly knocking her down.
“Ugg! Down boy! Why isn’t that obedience school working?”
Ha! Obedience school, shmedience school, I’m going to get by on my football scholarship.
When we get to the park I start wondering when we are going to play fetch. I walk around her anxiously, not noticing that I just tied her up, begging to play.
She glances at me understandably as she turns around to unwind herself “You chewed up your last Frisbee yesterday.”
Frisbee! Where’s the Frisbee? I’m going to chew that thing to pieces!
She holds up her hands to show she doesn’t have a toy.
Look! That shinny thing in her hand. I’ll slaughter that for you Ma’am!
“Shane, that’s the leash handle!” She screams, unable to let go of the leash incase I might run off to tackle some unsuspecting children.
We get home, and Emily flops down onto the couch.
“You know what Shane? I think I’m going to have to acquire a sudden, severe allergic reaction to dogs. Then we will have to get rid of you. Maybe we can send you to the glue factory. “She muses more to herself then to me.
What is this powerful allergic reaction? I must learn how to harness this great gift and use it against my enemies.

I had this poem to use in a memorial for my mom but someone broke into my car and stole my day planner where I'd stored it. It's about a seamstress who spent her life sewing for others and it ends with something about her stitching angel britches in heaven. It such a sweet poem and fit my mom so perfectly. I've been looking for it online for some time and can't find anything like it. Your help will be appreciated so much.

Stupid mistakes.
Repeated for ever more.
The cycle of life.

Sad poems written.
Chilled to the bone, blood runs rough.
Winter is so cruel.

Mountains far away,
Subtle, yet strong and sturdy.
Unlike what is near.

towering above
what once had protected me
now seemingly dead

I don't have it now, but I know that I, and many answerers of this question will have it. Post any and all Idea's, please. Give me the original and unoriginal, anything you got.

PS: I already have the book The Writer's Block by Jason Rekulak, which is very helpful, but please don't suggest it as an answer.

Here's a poem I wrote....honest (but respectful and SERIOUS) opinions please? I know it doesn't make a ton of sense but that's how it's meant to be to a certain degree. I'm almost 15 so don't expect it to be perfect.

Con[Temporary]

Cons outweigh the pros, haven't you heard?
In a flash the tried and true loses worth.
A single depicts the rise and fall of this empire,
But that's your aftermath for playing with fire.

You're just a filler song, downgraded by jet lag,
No need to win her over, she's temporarily stag.
Just mind the one-up king with what's up his sleeve,
The plague of absence seems to be rinsing you clean.

Backtrack now, who's hopeless and who's devoted?
You bluntly embellished it off, now dually noted.
He's the brains of the operation with smarts on parade,
You're meek with temptations and so likely to stray.
Costume design is primo, sans these complimentary wits.
Wherefore art thy postponing when the shoe doesn't fit?
