If you went back in time to the day you were born and killed your newborn self, would you disappear on the spot?

If you think time operates on a chronological scale, you would obviously fail, because otherwise you couldn't exist to go back in time and do it!

If you think time operates across spatial planes then it is possible multiple 'yous' could exist, so you still would not disappear. But if it is the same 'you', I guess you would.
