When i first came to this site i especially the history section i expected to find interesting questions where i could share my knowledge of history and expand what i know of the subject that i love that is history. instead i find questions that are not even hard that you can just find it if one stopped being lazy and put the information on your google search and instead people come here to show their ignorance, like not trying to insult anybody but i am really dissapointed in this site and why are kids coming here for one to do their Hw heck im 16 and im not lazy to open my textbook or even wikipedia to do my own work this is just dumb people coming here for us who do or did our own work to do theirs

I found three rocks on the ground by a creek in Southern Missouri. These three rocks were not extremly close to each other, but all of them Were shaped into perfect triangles and completely smoothed down. They were on the ground and the first one pointed in a certain direction that I was walking when I found the next one pointing in another direction. So I walked the direction of that one and found a third. I also followed the third direction but did not find anymore. I collected and kept all three triangular rocks, but wondered if I should have left them, wondering if they were navigational rocks used to point the way to something else.
The land I was walking on is heavily wooded and many arrowheads have also been found near the same area.
I wonder if there is somewhere I could find out more information on rocks like this and what they might have been used for.

In the U.S. history classes I have taken, we barely ever talked about slavery or the brutal tactics used the against the Idians when we took thier land. When presidents like Geroge Washington are bragged about, no one ever mentions his use of slaves. No one ever mentions how right after Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address, he went right to bossing around his slaves. Why is it that when hese things are reflected on, it is considered OK? So what if these people lived 200 years ago, they were by today's standards, "bad people". I don't understand why just because these people led our country and founded it, they have to be considered good people.

Looking at all the facts and experiences of his life prior to getting into the political scene, why would you say that Abraham Lincoln's win of the Presidential election was a great personal triumph?

(And no, this is not an essay question. Just curious to what people think.)

Not talking about wage slavery or anything like that. I have heard it exists in Sudan, but I also have read articles about slaves in places like France working as housemaids. Is that really true? How does it happen?

I assume in the modern age these are exploited people and not individuals from wealthy nations being enslaved. I do not think it would be possible to enslave someone from a place like the US.
