WW1 - Germany economy crippled allowed Hitler to come to power and allowed motivation of population to go to war to annex areas that the German people felt belonged to them. The cold war also was affected by WW1 as the Russian Communists came to power and even helped other socialists create governments in Europe.
WW2 - Rivalry between western and eastearn allies at the end of the war combined with Stalin's version of communism caused fear leading to cold war.
Cold War - Lead to Korean, Vietnam and Cuban missile crisis. Perceived threat of Communism lead to the United States becoming involved with the Korean and Vietnamese civil wars. Russia placed missiles in Cuba because of the threat of the United States
Korean War - Part of the cold war and did somewhat lend to latter conflicts as it increased tension due to clandestine Russian involvement.
Cuban Missile Crisis - Another increase in tension and showed that the United States could affect the behavior of Russia when it was thought to be necessary
Vietnam War - Lead to war on terror as it was another conflict that showed the United States would be involved with conflicts that could affect us. Also showed that the United States would give up if a local population was willing to cause harm to the citizens over a long period of time.
War on Terrorism

WW I was first. Because of the way the Germans were made to surrender in a train car at Al-sots and Lorraine (I know I have that spelled wrong) Germany went into a depression. Hitler came along and promised to revive German pride and did.
The Cold War would probably be considered to be next as it really started right after the end of WW II since nobody trusted the Russians and the spread of communism. Churchill even suggested that the allies keep there weapons following the end of WW II as he did not have any faith in the Russians.
The Korean Conflict was next in an attempt to spread communism. It stalled on both sides at roughly the 38th parallel. Technically peace has never been declared, it is the longest "cease fire" in history. The borders are still patrolled by both sides.
With a foot hold on communism in Cuba, the Russians saw an opportunity to threaten the US by sending their missiles to Cuba, virtually guarenteeing a strike in any US city if they so chose. Kennedy moved to block the missiles and put a blockade around Cuba. Tensions got hot and the Russians backed down.
Vietnam was a fiasco when the French were there, it didn't get any better when we were there. Again the spread of communism. The major problem with that war was lack of support at home and government intervention. With the Vietnamese traveling freely through Laos and Cambodia to supply their forces in the south, and government restrictions in effect preventing us from stopping them, coupled with the fact that they were fighting in their surroundings, made it an unwinnable situation (just ask the british about those pesky colonies).
The Cold War then came to an end in the 1980's with the collapse of the Russian economy. Basically they couldn't keep up in the arms race and finally decide it was better to put money into things like feeding the people and building an infrastructure that wasn't crumbling around their ears.
The War on Terror is really unrelated to the others as it has no specific target. It is related to the Cold War in that it really does not have a clear cut plan of victory. The Cold War was declared a victory when the opposition collapsed. The War on Terror will much more difficult to define for a final resolution.

The easiest way to do this is first create a time line with events that relate to each event then create a sub-time line that shows the commonalities of the events like social changes, cultural differences and any other stress factors that led to each event. Good Luck!
