I'm working on a novel set in London in 1582 and want a character to refer to this particular struggle for supremacy. What would they have called it?

I've read (repeatedly) that the phrase "War of the Roses", for the conflict between the houses of Lancaster and York, was coined in the 18th century. One author claimed that it was introduced by Sir Walter Scott.

During World War II 9at least to my understanding), Switzerland was fascist but remained neutral throughout the whole world. Hitler promised not to attack every European Country from England to the U.S.S.R. So how did Switzerland remain the only country in Europe to not be attacked by Hitler even though Switzerland is right next to the heart of Germany and is a prime industrial target?! What did Switzerladn have to do to remain neutral during Hitler's wrath?

What would have been the outcome without America? Would Russia and Britain have still been able to get the same result?

Can the pictures/photographs of Hitler, that were taken by Charles TURNER, way back in 1939, be viewed somewhere on the WEB?

They were apparently released, just yesterday.

I understand that one picture shows Hitler in white tie and tails and another shows him going towards his personal Mercedes.

From a historical point of view these are interesting pictures and more so, as Charles Turner was described as being an intrepid British spy, who had been given carte blanche permission to photograph 'Adolf'.
