I've seen old pictures of the Parisian taxis pressed into service to ferry French troops to the battle of the Marne in 1914, and they are clearly right hand drive (like British cars) even though the French have driven on the left since the time of Napoleon. I've also seen a photo of one of Kaiser Wilhelm's limousines, and the same is true. Why were these early cars right-hand drive, and when did the change-over take place?

A friend of mine said that it wasn't but that slavery was pretty much the easiest way to describe why we fought it. He went on to say that the southern states felt invaded by a foriegn power and so they fought to defend their homes and way of life, slavery or no. Can anyone give me a better answer than this? Is it true there were more reasons than slavery?

Samurai Warriors is a video game for PSP, and, I think, PS2. I thought he was just a leader, not some tyrannical dictator.

Marcus Tullius Cicero was a significant roman figure. He was a senator, statesman, lawyer, judge and more. I know just a little over little about him but what I don't know is if he despised Jews. He was generally an honest man but did he have any resentments toward Jews and why if he did?

these were chrarismic self-styled religious leaders. they all had a certain animal magnetism that drew some people to die for these guys. they had far more followers than jesus ever had in his lifetime. the jewish leader opposed jesus and saw him as a troublemaker and eventually voted for his execution. what enabled jesus' followers to gain more followers? was it the power of paul (or simon as jesus liked to call him)? was paul the genius that sold this concept all the way from greece to rome? or was it peter? how did they pull that off?

really as good as friends as the movie Tombstone implies? Apparently there was another movie with Kevin Costner that wasn't nearly as good but my friend said that Doc died before Wyatt could tell him how much he cared. I've googled biographies on them both but they don't really mention how close they were. I saw Tombstone & I loved the movie but it never said if either of them had children. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance for an info
