welll yeah... ineed info about elizabethan witchcraft...im doing a research paper.....=].well can anyone tell me wat would cause an accusation of being a witch...what type of test did they have toi go throguh.... the result and how were it related to politices during that ear...i try finding it,,,but i couldnt find it soo yeah

Back in those days, anyone could have been accused of being a witch, bassically cause they were an "uncomfortable" member of society, and it was better to tortured and murdered them.

Most of the trails, anyway where ordered by civilians, and sometimes the real reasons were because someone wanted or owned properties that other wanted, in this particular case, her power.

Really economically speaking, the feudal system based on agriculture and interdependente villages was collapsing. I dont think she was a witch or involved with any of that, I just think that it was a political move to release her from her power and her position.

The "burning times" included: beatings, crushing with stones, drowning, hanging, rape and sexual abuse, sleep deprivation, strarvation, stretching on the rack, suffocation, thumbscrews..
